Poulet de Bresse (AOC)
The most famous chicken in the world - beloved by top chefs the world over. This is the first poultry to be awarded the coveted AOC status - and the producers have to adhere to strict rules to maintain that status (outdoor reared with plenty of space (each chicken has 12 square meters), fed on insects from the field, milk, and special maize grown in the Bresse area)).
Bresse birds have a rich, gamey deep flavour, yet tender, delicate flesh.
Each bird is 1.7-1.9 kg
